Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Alabaster cut — each cube one of one

Each alabaster cube in the Merino is cut from natural stone — the grain, density, and slight colour variation differ from piece to piece. When the G9 LED inside is lit, the light passes through the stone rather than reflecting off it, producing the characteristic warm, diffused glow that only natural alabaster gives. The black metal rail provides a contemporary contrast to the stone's warmth.

The standard Merino is not dimmable. If you require dimming, contact us before ordering and we will advise on compatible configurations.

What is the return policy for this product?

Nava Decor offers 14-day returns from the delivery date. The Merino must be uninstalled and returned in its original packaging. Contact us to begin a return.

Does this fixture require any special maintenance?

Wipe the alabaster cubes with a soft dry cloth — no water or solvents on the stone. Clean the metal frame with a damp cloth. Replace G9 bulbs as needed.

How long does shipping usually take?

The Merino ships free worldwide and typically arrives within 15–21 business days from dispatch, depending on your location.

Can the emitting colour be customised?

Yes — the Merino is available in warm white (3000K), cool white (6000K), or a customised colour temperature. Specify your preference at checkout.

What type of bulbs does this fixture use?

The Merino uses G9 LED bulbs — one per alabaster cube. All are included. G9 is a standard fitting, so replacements are available from any lighting supplier.

Does the fixture come with a warranty?
