Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

How long does shipping take?

Nava Decor ships worldwide with delivery typically in 15–21 business days from dispatch. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order leaves our fulfilment partner. Shipping is free.

Is installation hardware included?

Yes — canopy, adjustable cord, and all mounting hardware are included in the box. A certified electrician is recommended for the hardwired junction box connection.

What materials are used in the fixture?

The frame is metal with a gold finish; the crystal elements are faceted glass attached along the bar's length. The integrated LED is sealed inside each crystal element — no exposed bulb socket.

Are the LEDs energy-efficient?

Yes — the integrated LEDs draw 40, 50, or 60W depending on length, producing 4400–6600 lm. Rated at 50,000+ hours, they use a fraction of equivalent incandescent wattage and rarely need replacing.

Can the height be adjusted?

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1 m from the ceiling. Excess cord is coiled inside the canopy during installation. Your electrician can set the final drop before securing the canopy plate.

How do I operate the lighting modes?

The two modes (warm and cool white) are switched at the wall switch or via the included remote — confirm the control method at checkout, as configurations vary. The default mode is warm white.

What voltage is required?

90–260V, covering standard electrical systems across North America, Europe, Australia, and most of Asia. No transformer is required for most installations.

What is the LED lifespan?

50,000+ hours under normal residential use. At 8 hours a day, that exceeds 17 years before any expected decline in output — the integrated LED does not need replacing in that window.

Does it come with a mounting bracket?

Yes — the full mounting kit is included. The large 48 cm canopy covers the junction box and provides the anchor point for the adjustable cord.

Is it suitable for dining rooms?

Yes — the linear bar form is designed for dining tables and kitchen islands. Hang the fixture 70–80 cm above the table surface for comfortable task and ambient light without obscuring sightlines across the table.
