Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Gable's iron frame is shaped into a gentle curve before the wood-tone finish is applied — a consistent warm brown that reads natural without being literally wood. The Gable ships free, worldwide. Delivery typically takes 15–21 business days from dispatch. You'll receive tracking once your order leaves the warehouse.

Is professional installation required?

The Gable is hardwired — a certified electrician is recommended for the mains connection and ceiling bracket. All mounting hardware is included; the remote comes in the box.

Does it come with a dimmable feature?

Yes — fully remote-dimmable. The remote is included and controls brightness across the full range from maximum output down to a very low ambient setting.

What is the expected lifespan of the LEDs?

50,000 hours — at 6 hours a day, that's over 22 years. The integrated LED is not replaceable by the user, but at this lifespan, replacement is not a practical concern.

Is the finish truly wood-like?

The finish is a warm wood-tone applied to iron — it reads as natural wood in ambient light, particularly from a normal viewing distance below. It is not literal wood veneer, but the warmth is genuine.

Can it be mounted on any ceiling type?

Standard flat ceilings are supported out of the box. Sloped-ceiling compatibility is available on request — contact us before ordering and we'll confirm the bracket options.

Does it provide adequate ambient lighting?

Yes — at 1100 lm (68 cm) and 1650 lm (104 cm), the Gable lights a dining table or kitchen island comfortably. With remote dimming, you can reduce to a low ambient level for evenings.

Is the remote control included?

Yes — the remote is included in the box and is the only way to adjust brightness. It operates via radio frequency and does not require line-of-sight to the pendant.

What voltage does it support?

90–260V — the full global range. No transformer or adaptor is needed regardless of your local household voltage.

Is it suitable for large living spaces?

The 104 cm version suits long dining tables, kitchen runs, and open-plan dining areas. For very large spaces, two or three Gable pendants mounted in a row provide even coverage across the run.
