Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Stainless discs — no two catch the light the same

The Fenestra's metallic discs are arranged in a deliberate pattern, but the light they reflect is never uniform — each disc sits at a fractionally different angle, so the fixture appears to shift slightly as you move around the room beneath it. In chrome the effect is sharp and contemporary; in gold it softens into something warmer. Both finishes are stainless steel, treated for temperature and fade resistance.

What materials are used?

Stainless steel throughout — the discs, frame, and finish are all steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and a consistent metallic surface that holds its reflectivity over time.

How do I install it?

The Fenestra is a hardwired ceiling chandelier, mounting to a standard junction box via the included canopy. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended. All hardware is included.

What are the available finishes?

Chrome for a sharp, contemporary look, and gold for a warmer tone. Both are stainless steel with a durable surface treatment — non-toxic and fade resistant.

Is the paint non-toxic?

The eight G9 LEDs are rated to 50,000 hours. At 8 hours of daily use, that's well over 17 years. Standard G9 replacements are widely available at hardware stores.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

Yes — all mounting hardware, the canopy bracket, and the eight G9 LED bulbs are included. The Fenestra ships ready to install.

Can the height be adjusted?

Yes — the cord adjusts to 1.5 m, so you can set the chandelier at the ideal height above your dining table, seating area, or counter. Sloped-ceiling compatibility is available on request.

What are the light modes available?

Warm white for an intimate, golden atmosphere and cool white for a brighter, more contemporary feel. Dimming is available on request for full control over the mood.

Is it energy-efficient?

Yes — eight G9 LEDs deliver strong output (4500–8700 lm depending on length) at 45–87W, far below what equivalent incandescent bulbs would require for the same brightness.
