Installation Guide

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
Wire nuts (included), ladder
Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
Restore power and test.

The Stow is designed to be looked at from below — the angle from which ceiling lights are almost always seen. From that perspective, the concentric rings create a series of receding planes that give the fixture visual depth despite its low profile. The frosted diffuser at the centre hides the LED entirely; what reads is pure form.
