Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Can it be installed by a non-professional?

The fixture connects to a standard junction box — but hardwired ceiling installation involves live electrical work, so we recommend a certified electrician. The hardware and canopy are all included to make the job straightforward.

What materials is it made from?

The diffuser is acrylic and the frame is aluminium — both are lightweight, durable, and fade-resistant. The powder-coat finish is non-toxic and designed to hold its colour through normal heat and humidity.

How long is the LED lifespan?

The integrated LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours — over a decade at typical daily use. Nothing to replace or source during that time.

Is the color adjustable?

Yes — three modes are available: warm white for evening ambiance, natural white for everyday tasks, and cool white for brighter, crisper light. No separate controller needed.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

Yes — the canopy, junction box, and all mounting hardware are included. Hardwire it to your ceiling electrical supply; professional installation is recommended.

What voltage does it require?

90–260V — compatible with standard residential and commercial power supplies globally. No step-down transformer is needed.

How do I adjust the wire length?

The wire adjusts at the canopy during installation — the maximum drop is 1.8 m. Set it to the height you want before final tightening; your electrician can guide this step.

Is it energy-efficient?

Yes — the integrated LEDs deliver strong output (14W for the wider model, 3W for the slim) at a fraction of the energy draw of incandescent equivalents, and run for 50,000+ hours before any drop in output.

Is the paint non-toxic?

Yes — the aluminium frame uses a non-toxic powder-coat finish. It's safe for residential spaces including kitchens and bedrooms.

Does it resist fading over time?

Yes — the aluminium finish is temperature and fade-resistant. Both black and gold finishes are designed to hold their tone through normal indoor conditions without yellowing or dulling.
