Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Suspended bubbles — each one a tiny reflector

The acrylic tube is filled during manufacture with sealed air bubbles at varying depths in the material, not printed or applied to the surface. When the LED activates, each bubble acts as a micro-reflector, redirecting light sideways and forward so the full tube glows uniformly from all sides — not just from the tip where the source sits.

Is the installation process simple?

The Ballast hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box. The canopy, mounting bracket, and junction hardware are all included. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

What materials are used in the construction?

The tube is acrylic — resistant to heat and fade — with aluminium collars at the top and bottom. The acrylic is filled with air bubbles during manufacturing, not applied to the surface.

How long is the adjustable wire?

The suspension cord adjusts up to 1.5 m from the canopy. Excess cord is managed inside the canopy and not visible once installed. Adjustment is set at installation.

Can the brightness be controlled remotely?

Yes — the optional remote-dimmable version includes a remote controller in the box. Brightness adjusts across a range without a wall dimmer. Specify the remote option at checkout.

Is the light temperature and fade-resistant?

Yes — the acrylic tube is manufactured to resist both heat discolouration and UV-related fading. The finish holds its tone through years of daily use without yellowing or dulling.

What voltage does it operate on?

90–260V universal voltage — compatible with standard residential wiring in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific without a transformer or adapter.
