Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Does it come with all necessary mounting hardware?

The canopy, wire, and suspension hardware are included. The E14 bulb is not included — source a standard E14 LED from any lighting or hardware supplier before installation. Any E14 up to the rated wattage will work.

Can the wire length be adjusted?

Yes. The cord adjusts at the canopy up to a maximum drop of 1.5m. Set the Turret Pendant Light at the height the space requires — lower over a reading chair, higher in an open hallway.

How should I clean and maintain the fixture?

Wipe the electroplated surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid water or chemical cleaners directly on the copper finish — moisture can affect the electroplating over time. Bulb replacement requires unscrewing the E14 base by hand.

What is the lifespan of the LED lights?

A quality E14 LED typically lasts 15,000–25,000 hours depending on brand and usage. When the Turret Pendant Light's bulb reaches end of life, any standard E14 LED from a hardware supplier is a direct replacement.

Is it suitable for damp environments?

The Turret Pendant Light is designed for dry indoor spaces — living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas. It is not rated for bathrooms or outdoor use. Install it away from direct humidity or moisture exposure.
