Step by step

  1. Unpack and inspect — check for damage or missing parts. If your model has a detachable shade or base, assemble per the included instructions.
  2. Choose a location — flat, stable surface where it won't be knocked over. For outdoor use, keep it dry and level, and away from water unless the lamp is explicitly water-resistant.
  3. Connect the power source — plug corded models into a nearby (weather-protected, if outdoors) outlet; insert batteries into the compartment for battery-powered models; position solar panels in direct sunlight for the initial charge.
  4. Install or check the bulb — screw it in gently and don't exceed the socket's max wattage. Integrated LED models skip this step.
  5. Turn on and adjust — use the switch, touch sensor, or remote to power it on, and adjust brightness or modes if your model supports it. Solar or motion-activated lamps may need a full charge cycle first.

The Molsheim uses a floating reflector suspended inside the glass globe to redirect its LED outward in all directions simultaneously. Rather than a single downward beam or a hotspot at the top, the light distributes through the glass evenly — giving the whole lamp a continuous, warm glow. Wipe the Molsheim Table Lamp's glass shade with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. The copper-finish iron base can be wiped with a lightly dampened cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on either surface.
