Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What is the lead time for delivery?

Nava Decor ships worldwide free of charge — delivery is typically 15–21 business days to most destinations. A tracking number is sent once your order dispatches.

Yes — the Hooge hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box. We recommend a certified electrician for the wiring connection; the mounting hardware and canopy are included.

What materials are used in its construction?

The body is aluminium — lightweight, rigid, and holds the red finish cleanly. A single E27 LED bulb is included and replaceable.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

The Hooge is not dimmable in its standard configuration. If dimming is important to you, contact us before ordering and we'll advise on options.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Wipe the aluminium body with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or wet cloths on the painted surface. The red finish is durable under normal indoor conditions.

What is the return policy?

14-day returns from the date of delivery. Items must be in original, undamaged condition and packaging. Contact us to initiate a return — we'll arrange collection and process your refund.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — a 1-year warranty is included, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years on request. The warranty covers manufacturing defects; let us know if anything arrives incorrectly.

Is it suitable for high ceilings?

Yes — the cord adjusts to 1.4 m, which suits ceilings up to approximately 3.5 m without extension. For very high ceilings, contact us to discuss a longer cord option.

How energy efficient is it?

A single 15W E27 LED producing 1500 lm — the equivalent brightness of a 100W incandescent at 15% of the energy consumption. The LED is rated for 50,000+ hours.

Can it be used in a commercial setting?
