Installation Guide

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

The iron frame is formed from a single continuous strip, bent and twisted into a spiral that opens at the base to accept the glass globe. The globe locks into the frame without visible hardware — viewed from below, only the frosted glass and the iron curves are visible. What type of bulb does the Venasque Ceiling Light use?

The Venasque uses a G9 LED bulb — included with the fixture. The G9 is a small, pin-base bulb that sits inside the frosted glass globe, fully hidden from view.

Is the light bulb included with the fixture?

Yes — one G9 LED bulb is included. It's also replaceable when it eventually dims after tens of thousands of hours, using any standard G9 bulb from a hardware or lighting store.

Can this light fixture be installed in low ceilings?

Yes — the Venasque is designed specifically for low-clearance spaces. It mounts flush to the ceiling with only 25 cm of total height, making it ideal for hallways, entryways, and bedroom ceilings under 2.7 m.

What kind of lighting does the frosted glass globe provide?

Soft, diffused ambient light. The frosting distributes the G9 LED evenly across the entire glass surface — no visible bulb, no harsh hotspot below. The result is a warm, cosy glow throughout the room.

Is the Venasque Ceiling Light dimmable?

Iron and glass. The spiral frame is pressed iron in a black or gold finish; the globe is frosted glass. Both materials are rated for long indoor use without significant degradation.
