Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Double-walled bubble — the glow stays inside

Each bulb on the Penthouse is double-walled: an inner glass envelope holds the light source while the outer wall diffuses and softens the output. The result is a bulb that glows as a whole — not a point of light with a visible filament, but a complete illuminated bubble. Set 15 or more of them in a circle and the ring reads as a continuous, even loop of light.

What materials are used in the construction?

The Penthouse Chandelier uses an iron frame for the ring and mounting hardware, with double-walled glass bulbs. Iron provides the clean circular structure; double-walled glass diffuses the G4 LED inside each bubble without a visible source.

How do I install it?

The Penthouse installs to a standard ceiling junction box using the included canopy and mounting hardware. Thread the wire through the canopy, connect the wires, and hang at the desired height. Professional installation is recommended, especially for the heavier 35 and 45-bulb sizes.

Is the wiring adjustable?

Yes — the hanging wire adjusts up to 1.5 m from the ceiling plate. Excess wire is coiled inside the canopy. We recommend hanging the ring 70–90 cm above a dining table as a starting point.

What type of light modes are available?

The Penthouse offers three selectable colour temperatures: warm white for evening ambiance, neutral white for general use, and cool white for a brighter, crisper atmosphere. Switch between them with the included control.

How long do the LEDs last?

The included G4 LEDs are rated to 50,000 hours. At four hours of daily use that's over 34 years. When a bulb does eventually need replacing, G4 LEDs are a standard size available from any lighting supplier.

Can it be mounted on any ceiling?

The Penthouse is sloped-ceiling compatible and can be mounted on most standard and angled ceiling types. It requires a junction box capable of supporting the weight — 4.2 kg for the 15-bulb up to 12.5 kg for the 45-bulb.

Is it energy-efficient?

Yes — G4 LED bulbs run at 3W per head, totalling 45–135W across the four sizes for 4500–13500 lm of output. That's a significant improvement in efficiency over comparable incandescent designs.

Does it come with all mounting hardware?

Yes — the Penthouse includes the canopy, mounting bracket, wire, and all fixing hardware needed for a standard hardwired ceiling installation. Bulbs are also included for all positions.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes — the Penthouse requires hardwired connection to a ceiling junction box. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended, particularly for the 35 and 45-bulb configurations which weigh up to 12.5 kg.

What voltage does it support?

The Penthouse Chandelier supports 90–260V across all four sizes — compatible with electrical systems in North America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and most other regions without a transformer or adapter.
