Installation Guide

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Yes — the canopy, adjustable cord, and mounting hardware are all included. A ceiling or wall junction box is required; your electrician will connect to mains wiring.

Is it safe for children's rooms?

Yes — the frosted acrylic dome has no exposed sharp edges and the E27 bulb is fully enclosed within the shade. Hardwired installation means no exposed wiring once fitted. Professional installation recommended.

Does it require professional installation?

We recommend professional installation by a certified electrician for all hardwired ceiling fittings. The Krammer connects to a standard junction box — most installs take under 30 minutes.

What colors are available?

Seven: orange, blue, green, white, pink, red, and yellow. Select your colour at checkout; if you'd like to mix colours across a room, order separately and note the colours in the order comments.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the acrylic dome with a soft damp cloth and a mild soap solution — rinse and dry. Avoid abrasive pads or chemical solvents, which can scratch or cloud the acrylic surface.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

On request — the standard version ships non-dimmable. If you need dimming for a bedtime routine, let us know when ordering and we'll supply a dimmable-configured version.

How long do the LEDs last?

The fixture accepts standard E27 LEDs rated 15,000–50,000 hours depending on brand. The dome is temperature and fade-resistant, so it outlasts many LED replacements.

Can it be mounted on walls?

Yes — the canopy mounts to a standard junction box on the ceiling or wall. Wall mounting works well in children's rooms where ceiling access is limited or where a wall-level glow is preferred.
