Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What is the Fejo Pendant Light made of?

The shades are smooth glass and the frame is iron, finished in gold or black. The combination is clean and minimal — there's no visible texture or ornament, just the form of the globe against the ceiling.

Is it dimmable?

The standard configuration is not dimmable. If you need dimming, let us know at order and we can explore options — the E27 bulb base is compatible with many dimmer systems.

What bulb type does it use?

Standard E27 LED, replaceable. A bulb is included with the fixture. When it eventually needs replacing, any E27 LED from a local hardware store will work.

What configurations are available?

Three options — a single head for a focused accent, three round shades clustered together, or three shades on a linear bar. Same iron-and-glass language across all three, at different scales.

What finishes are available?

Gold and black — both on the iron fittings. The gold reads warm against wood and natural tones; the black sits cleanly in modern or monochromatic rooms.

Is the cord height adjustable?

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.2 m (3.9 ft). It's also sloped-ceiling compatible, so it can hang level even from an angled ceiling.

Does the glass shade get hot to the touch?

LED bulbs produce minimal heat compared to incandescent. The glass will be slightly warm when the fixture has been on for a while, but not dangerously hot under normal use.

Where does the Fejo work best?

Over a dining table or kitchen island for the linear three-shade version; a bedroom corner or entryway for the single; a living room centrepiece for the round cluster.

Is professional installation required?

The Fejo is hardwired, so a certified electrician is recommended for installation. All necessary mounting hardware is included in the box.
