Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The body is powder-coated iron — finish is non-toxic, temperature-resistant, and fade-resistant. Available in matte black or gold to suit a range of interiors.

How long do the LEDs last?

The integrated LED is rated at 50,000 hours. That's well over a decade at average daily use — nothing to source, nothing to replace for a very long time.

Is the paint non-toxic and durable?

Yes. The powder-coat finish is non-toxic, corrosion-resistant, and designed to hold its colour through normal heat and humidity without fading or peeling.

How do I install it?

The Crow hangs from a standard ceiling junction box using the included canopy and mounting bracket. Hardwired connection — professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

Can I adjust the height?

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.5 m, so you can set the pendant at exactly the right height above a table, island, or desk. Adjustments are made at the canopy.

Three modes: warm white (2700–3000K) for dining and evening use, neutral white (4000K) for everyday tasks, and cool white (5000–6500K) for brighter task lighting.

Is it energy-efficient?

Yes — the 12W integrated LED delivers 1320 lm, comparable to a 75–100W incandescent bulb at a fraction of the energy draw. The 50,000-hour lifespan also eliminates the waste and cost of frequent replacements.

Can it be mounted to any ceiling?

It's compatible with standard flat ceilings and sloped ceilings. The canopy handles the connection; for sloped ceilings, confirm the angle with us at checkout and we'll configure accordingly.

Does it come with a junction box?
