Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

No — resin and PVC are not weather-rated for this application. The Arcus is designed for dry indoor environments only.

Is professional installation required?

We recommend a certified electrician for the hardwired ceiling connection. The physical hanging is straightforward once the cable is prepared and the canopy is positioned.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Wipe the resin surface with a soft dry cloth. The integrated LED produces minimal heat so dust accumulation is slow. Avoid wet cloths directly on the canopy or cord connections.

What is the expected lifespan of the fixture?

The integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours. The resin body is stable under normal indoor conditions — it does not warp, fade, or yellow over time in a climate-controlled interior.

Are there multiple colour options available?

Black and white — both matte. Three shape variants (A, B, C) offer different wing-span proportions so you can choose the silhouette that reads best at your ceiling scale.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — Nava Decor provides a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2 or 3 years. Contact us after purchase to confirm your preferred term.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

No — the integrated LED in the Arcus is not dimmable. The fixture operates at full output only. If dimming matters, the Arcus is not the right fit for that space.

How do I return or exchange if needed?
