Installation Guide

Most wall lamps are a simple bracket-and-wire job — but check your power type first, since hardwired, plug-in, and rechargeable models each install a little differently.

Before you begin

  • Dimming — most socketed lamps dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Power — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable depending on the model; check your product details
  • Mounting — wall-mount, hardware included
  • Indoor/outdoor — confirm your model is rated for outdoor use before installing outside

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver
  • Wire nuts (included for hardwired models)
  • Voltage tester
  • Power drill (for new mounting locations)

Step by step

  1. Identify your power type — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable. Follow the steps below for yours.
  2. If hardwired: turn off the power — switch off at your main electrical panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  3. If hardwired: remove the old lamp — unscrew it and disconnect the wires by removing the wire nuts.
  4. If hardwired: attach the new mounting bracket — align it with your junction box or marked wall location and secure with the included screws.
  5. If hardwired: connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Twist and secure with wire nuts, then tuck neatly into the junction box.
  6. If hardwired: mount the fixture — align with the bracket and secure with the provided screws.
  7. If hardwired: install the bulb — correct type and wattage, if your model uses one.
  8. If hardwired: restore power and test.
  9. If plug-in: mount the bracket — with anchors or screws, then attach the fixture and plug it into a nearby outlet. Route the cord neatly.
  10. If rechargeable: mount the bracket — with screws and anchors, fully charge the lamp with the included cable, then install it onto the bracket and power on.

Is this product suitable for outdoor use?

No — the Frit is designed for dry indoor spaces: living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and corridors. The alabaster marble is not weatherproof and should not be exposed to moisture.

How do I install this product?

The Frit mounts to a standard wall bracket with the included hardware. The E27 bulb fits into the top of the marble column. We recommend a certified electrician for the mains wiring.

Yes — 1-year standard warranty covering manufacturing defects. Extended warranty to 2 or 3 years is available on request. Contact us at purchase or after delivery.

The Frit is not configured for dimming in its standard form. If you require dimmer compatibility, contact us before ordering and we can discuss options for your specific setup.

How do I clean and maintain this product?

Wipe the bronze metal frame with a soft dry cloth. For the alabaster marble, use a barely damp cloth — no acidic or abrasive cleaners, which can etch the stone surface. Dry immediately after.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes — the Frit is hardwired to a mains connection. We recommend a certified electrician for the wall mounting and wiring. The marble column is heavy (6–10 kg), so secure fixing matters.

Are there any special care instructions for the marble base?

Alabaster is a soft stone — avoid impact and prolonged contact with water. Do not use vinegar, bleach, or citrus-based cleaners. A light wax or stone sealant can be applied if needed.

Does this product come with all necessary mounting hardware?

Yes — all brackets, screws, and wall fixings are included. The E27 LED bulb is also included. A certified electrician will have everything needed to complete the installation.
