Installation Guide

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

Travertine and wood grain — each one natural, each one different

Travertine is a sedimentary stone with a naturally porous, textured surface — no two slabs are the same. The Otta Ceiling Lamp uses travertine alongside wood grain for a fixture that looks different depending on where you stand beneath it. The structure holds it all in a geometric composition: three, four, or five E27 heads in a cream and wood frame that sits 35–36 cm below the ceiling.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Natural Stone

Real travertine carries its own texture and surface variation — the Otta Ceiling Lamp is never exactly the same twice.

Three Heads

Three configurations — 3, 4, or 5 heads — let the Otta scale from a bedroom corner to a full dining room spread.

Soft Ambient

The geometric structure directs light downward without a bare bulb in view — warm, even, and easy to live beneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials is the Otta Ceiling Lamp made of?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp is made from natural travertine stone and wood, finished in cream and natural wood tone. Both materials are sourced for texture and durability.

What type of light source does it use?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp uses replaceable E27 LED bulbs — one per head. The bulbs are included and widely available for future replacements.

Can the LED bulbs be replaced?

Yes — the Otta Ceiling Lamp uses standard E27 bulbs that are replaceable. They're included with purchase and available at most lighting or hardware retailers.

Is the installation process complicated?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp is hardwired via a pipe-erected mount to a ceiling junction box. We recommend a certified electrician for installation — the canopy is standard size at 12 cm.

Where can the Otta Ceiling Lamp be installed?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp suits living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and entryways. It requires a flat ceiling — sloped-ceiling installation is not compatible with this fixture.

Does the lamp provide sufficient lighting for a large room?

The 5-head configuration produces 6000 lm from 60W — sufficient for a dining room or mid-sized living area. Larger rooms may benefit from pairing two Otta Ceiling Lamps.

What interior styles does this ceiling lamp complement?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp works in contemporary, minimalist, and rustic interiors. The travertine and wood combination bridges natural and modern aesthetics cleanly.

Is the lamp suitable for commercial spaces?

Yes — the Otta Ceiling Lamp is built from durable travertine and wood with standard-certified LED bulbs, suitable for restaurants, reception areas, and hotel rooms.

What is the recommended wattage for the LED bulb?

The Otta Ceiling Lamp uses 12W E27 LEDs per head as standard. Do not exceed 12W per head — higher wattage can affect the travertine's surface over time.

How do I clean and maintain the lamp?

Wipe the travertine surface with a soft dry cloth — avoid water or acidic cleaners which can mark natural stone. Dust the wood frame with a dry cloth monthly. Turn off and cool before cleaning.
