Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Is the alabaster used in the fixture genuine?

Yes — the panels are real alabaster marble, not resin or a composite. Each panel is naturally translucent and carries distinct veining, meaning no two fixtures look exactly alike when lit.

How durable is the metal frame?

The metal frame is structural — designed to hold alabaster panels securely over years of use. It's finished to resist corrosion under normal indoor conditions and won't flex or warp over time.

What type of light bulbs does it use?

G9 LED bulbs — eight of them, included in the box. G9 is a standard base type; if replacement is ever needed, any G9 LED from a hardware store will fit.

How easy is it to install?

Assembly is user-friendly — the panels attach to the frame and the canopy mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. Hardwired connection is required; a certified electrician should handle the wiring.

Can it be used in a dining room?

Yes — both sizes suit dining rooms. The D82 cm works over a larger table or as a primary room light; the D57 cm suits a dining nook or smaller table. Drop adjusts to 1.5 m for table height.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — a one-year warranty is included, extendable to two, three, or five years. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery if the item is in original condition and packaging.

How does the alabaster look when lit?

The panels shift from pale and opaque in natural daylight to glowing and veined when the LEDs are on. The internal mineral lines become visible as the light passes through — a different fixture in different conditions.

What makes the veining patterns unique?

Alabaster is a sedimentary stone — its veining forms naturally through mineral deposition over geological time. No two slabs cut from the same quarry are identical, so each panel, and each fixture, has its own pattern.

What type of ambiance does it create?

Warm and settled — the stone diffuses the G9 bulbs so the light is never harsh. Warm white (3000K) creates evening ambiance; neutral white (4000K) is a calm working light; cool white (6000K) is brighter and crisper.

Is the assembly process user-friendly?
