Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What material is the Amorgos Chandelier made of?

The frame is iron, shaped into curved arms and finished in Black or White. The shades are frosted glass globes, with glossy iron spheres as structural accents between them — both materials chosen for durability and visual contrast.

Does it come with bulbs included?

Yes. The Amorgos ships with E27 LED bulbs pre-fitted. Replacements are a standard E27 fitting, available from any hardware or lighting supplier.

What type of bulb does it use?

E27 — the most common bulb base in Europe, Australia, and many markets. In North America, E26 bulbs are interchangeable. LED E27 of appropriate wattage works best; the fixture accepts standard bayonet or screw-base replacements.

Can this light fixture be used in dining areas?

Yes. The 5-head (60 cm) works well over a dining table of 4–6 seats; the 8-head (79 cm) suits a longer table. Aim for the lowest globe at 70–80 cm above the table surface for good coverage without glare.

Is the installation process complicated?

Standard chandelier installation: secure the canopy to a ceiling box rated for the fixture weight, connect to your circuit, adjust cord length. Professional installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

What voltage does the chandelier support?

90–220VAC. This covers most standard supplies globally. Please confirm your local voltage is within this range — some industrial or rural supplies outside this range may require a converter.

Does the frosted glass affect light brightness?

Frosted glass reduces peak brightness compared to a clear globe, but distributes the light more evenly. For a dining or living application, the diffused output is generally preferable to a visible filament or hot spot.

Will it suit both modern and classic interiors?

Yes. The curved arms reference classical chandelier forms; the iron frame and frosted globes read contemporary. In White it feels lighter and more modern; in Black it reads more graphic and dramatic.

Can it be installed in entryways or hallways?

Yes. The 3-head (45 cm) is well-proportioned for entryways — compact enough not to overwhelm a narrow space, sculptural enough to make a first impression. Confirm ceiling height allows comfortable clearance below the lowest globe.
