Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Frosted glass — the orb that seems to glow

Each globe is frosted by a surface treatment that scatters the LED's output in all directions — no bright centre, no visible filament, no directional beam. The globe itself appears to emit light rather than contain it. Combined with the raw wood that softens the iron geometry, the overall effect is a chandelier that reads warmer and less industrial than its structure suggests.

Iron for the structural frame and arms; raw wood for accent elements on the body; frosted glass for the globe shades. Together they read warm and substantial — far from cold or purely industrial.

What type of bulbs does this chandelier use?

E27 base — the most common residential socket. Any E27 LED up to the rated wattage per head fits. Warm white (2700–3000 K) complements the wood and iron tones best.

Are the bulbs included with the chandelier?

Yes — compatible LED bulbs are included. If you prefer a different colour temperature or output, any standard E27 LED is a direct replacement.

Is this chandelier suitable for commercial spaces?

Yes. The broad certification set and 90–260 V range make it appropriate for hospitality, restaurant, and retail environments as well as residential dining rooms and living areas.

Can this chandelier be installed on sloped ceilings?

No — the Alonnisos uses a pipe-erected installation and requires a flat ceiling for a level hang. Sloped ceiling installations are not supported with this mounting type.

What size options are available?

Three head counts: 8, 10, and 12. All share the same 88 cm span and 51 cm height; choose head count based on the brightness level needed rather than ceiling footprint.

Does the chandelier come in multiple colour options?

The finish is natural wood-toned throughout — there is no separate colour option. Wood grain will vary slightly from piece to piece, which is characteristic of the material.

Where is this chandelier best suited for installation?

Dining rooms, living areas, entryways with flat ceilings, and commercial spaces such as restaurants and hotel lobbies where broad, even coverage is more useful than a single focal point.

Is professional installation required?

We recommend installation by a certified electrician. The pipe-erected mounting requires secure ceiling anchoring, and the wiring connections should be handled by a qualified professional.

Can I replace the bulbs easily?

Yes — each globe unscrews to expose the standard E27 socket. Replacement bulbs are widely available. No specialist tools or parts needed.
