Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Cables and wood — the frame disappears

The circular frame is turned from solid wood and fitted with slim suspension cables — the kind of hardware that recedes so the globes read as floating. Each frosted glass globe is press-formed and fitted to an E27 socket for straightforward bulb replacement. The result is a centrepiece that looks considered without trying too hard.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials is the Skbet Chandelier made of?

The Skbet Chandelier is made from solid wood and press-formed frosted glass. The circular wood frame forms the ring; the frosted glass globes sit within it, suspended on slim cables from the ceiling.

What type of light source does it use?

The Skbet uses standard E27 LED bulbs — replaceable, widely available, and included with the fixture. They produce a warm, diffused glow through the frosted glass.

Is the bulb included with the chandelier?

Yes — E27 LED bulbs are included with every Skbet Chandelier. Replacements are standard E27 fittings, available at any hardware or lighting store.

What is the recommended installation space?

The Skbet works best over a dining table, kitchen island, or as a living room centrepiece. The 4-head version suits smaller tables; the 7-head version anchors a larger dining room or open-plan space.

Does the chandelier provide enough light for a large room?

The 7-head Skbet outputs 10,500 lm — enough to comfortably light a large dining area. For rooms that need additional task lighting, it pairs well with supplementary wall or floor lamps.

How is the chandelier mounted?

The Skbet mounts to a standard ceiling junction box and is hardwired. We recommend professional installation by a certified electrician, particularly for the larger 6 and 7-head versions.

Can the hanging height be adjusted?

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.2 m. If you need a custom drop for high ceilings, contact us before ordering and we can configure it to your specifications.

What type of bulb base does it have?

The Skbet uses an E27 bulb base — the most common standard fitting. Any E27 LED bulb works; the included bulbs are chosen to match the frosted glass diffusion of the globes.

Is the wood frame durable?

Yes — the circular wood ring is solid and well-finished. Wood naturally adapts to indoor humidity and temperature, and the frame is sealed to maintain its appearance over years of use.

Does it work with different voltage systems?

Yes — the Skbet Chandelier runs on 90–260V AC, compatible with power supplies in Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. No transformer needed. The Skbet ships free worldwide in 15–21 business days.
