Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Inglenook ships free worldwide and typically arrives within 15–21 business days. We'll send tracking as soon as it leaves the warehouse.

Is installation hardware included?

Yes — mounting hardware, adjustable chain (up to 1 m), and canopy are all included. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended for hardwired fixtures.

How is the quality of the materials?

The frame is solid iron finished in chrome; the shades are frosted glass — both rated for long-term use, temperature-resistant, and fade-resistant.

Does it have a warranty?

Yes — all Nava Decor lights carry a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Contact us after purchase to upgrade.

Is it suitable for high ceilings?

Yes. The drop adjusts up to 1 m, and the tiered vertical form reads well in taller spaces — the layered profile carries at height.

How is the lighting brightness?

Bright but diffused. The frosted glass softens each bulb, so the overall effect is warm and even rather than intense. Each E14 LED is included.

Can it be used with dimmer switches?

Dimming is available on request — let us know at checkout and we'll configure it for a standard wall dimmer.

What is the return policy?

How do I maintain the finish?

Wipe the chrome frame with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The frosted glass can be cleaned with a soft cloth — no abrasive cleaners needed.
