Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The round canopy measures 12 cm in diameter, sitting compact against the ceiling while the arms extend outward to 80, 100, or 110 cm depending on configuration. Each head's glass shade keeps the bulb protected while allowing full light output. The iron frame is powder-coated consistently across all heads and the central body.

Replaceable LED bulbs, one per head. Bulbs are not included — choose any LED that fits the socket (confirm the base type on your order confirmation). Replaceable sources mean you can update colour temperature or brightness in future without replacing the fixture.

Does the Hammelburg Chandelier come in different sizes or finishes?

Yes — four configurations: 5-head round (D80 cm), 6-head round (D100 cm), 8-head round (D100 cm), and 5-head linear (L110 cm). Two finishes: black and gold. Choose based on room layout and the ambiance you want to create.

The cord adjusts to 20 cm below the ceiling canopy. For standard ceiling heights this positions the fixture correctly over a dining table. If you need a longer drop, contact us before ordering — extensions may be available.

Is the Hammelburg Chandelier compatible with sloped ceilings?

Yes — the suspension hardware accommodates angled ceilings. No additional adaptor is needed. Confirm the ceiling angle when ordering if it's unusually steep (beyond 30 degrees) so we can verify compatibility.

Does the chandelier require professional installation?

Yes — it's hardwired to a ceiling junction box. A licensed electrician is recommended for the connection. All mounting hardware and the canopy are included. The electrician will need access to existing ceiling wiring.

How energy-efficient is this chandelier?

Efficiency depends on the LED bulbs you choose — modern E-series LEDs deliver 80–100 lm/W. At 5 x 5W LEDs (25W total) you'd get approximately 2000–2500 lm — solid ambient output for a dining room at very low running cost.
