Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Halki's copper arms don't hold all five globes at the same level. The slight variation in height creates a cluster that reads as a considered grouping rather than a grid. Unlit, it's a sculptural object of copper and glass. Lit, the frosted shades blur the five sources into one soft ambient field — the variation in height becoming visible as a gentle layering of light intensity rather than five separate pools.

What materials is the Halki Chandelier made from?

Copper frame with frosted glass globes. The finish — black or gold — is applied to the copper arms and canopy. The globes are glass, not acrylic, so they hold their clarity over time.

What finishes are available for this light fixture?

Black and gold. The black finish reads contemporary and suits cooler colour palettes; gold sits warmer and pairs well with brass hardware, timber tones, and warm-neutral rooms.

What type of bulbs does it use?

G9 LED — replaceable and included in the box. Five bulbs total. When they eventually need replacing, standard G9 LEDs are widely available. Dimmable-compatible G9s can be requested when ordering.

Is the chandelier height adjustable?

Yes — the suspension cord adjusts at installation to a maximum drop of 1.5 m from the ceiling. The drop is set at fit-out. For dining tables, position the bottom of the globes 70–80 cm above the table surface.

Where is the best place to install this chandelier?

Dining rooms and kitchen islands are the primary application — the 75 cm diameter and downward-diffused ambient output suit a seated environment. It also works in living room seating areas where a centrepiece light is needed.

Is this fixture dimmable?

On request — let us know when ordering and we'll configure for use with a standard wall dimmer. You can also fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs independently for use with most leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers.

How big is the chandelier?

75 cm diameter and 30 cm height at the body (not including the cord drop). The 75 cm width suits tables from 80 to 120 cm wide — keep the chandelier within the table footprint for the most balanced look.

What is required for installation?

The Halki installs to a standard ceiling junction box. All hardware is included. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended, particularly for confirming the drop height before fixing the cord.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

Yes — the suspension is compatible with sloped ceilings. The canopy and cord adjust to maintain a level hang. Contact us when ordering if the ceiling pitch is steep so we can advise on the right configuration.

How do I clean and maintain the chandelier?

Wipe the copper arms with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Clean the frosted glass globes with a dry soft cloth — avoid abrasives that can scratch the frosted surface. Replace G9 bulbs when output noticeably dims.
