Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What is the shipping timeframe?

Nava Decor ships worldwide, with delivery typically 15–21 business days from the order date. A tracking number is provided as soon as your order dispatches so you can follow it.

How difficult is the installation process?

The Finial hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box via the 3.9" canopy — a 1 m adjustable drop is included. Given the weight (up to 18 kg), professional installation by a certified electrician is strongly recommended.

Does it harmonize with modern interiors?

Yes — the gold iron frame and refractive glass work in modern, transitional, and glamour-inflected interiors. The warm gold reads particularly well with brass fixtures, warm timber, and cream or white walls.

Is the frame gold-plated?

The iron frame is finished in gold — a fade- and temperature-resistant coating that holds its warmth and lustre over long-term use without specialist polishing or maintenance.

Are the LEDs included?

Yes — E14 LED bulbs are included with the fitting. They're replaceable when needed; any standard E14 will fit the socket.

How long do the LEDs last?

E14 LEDs are rated to 50,000 hours — at 6 hours per day, that's over 22 years before a bulb needs replacing. When it does, any standard E14 is a drop-in replacement.

Is it temperature and fade resistant?

Yes — the gold finish is treated to resist discolouration from the heat of the E14 bulbs and ambient conditions. It holds its tone consistently without specialist care.

Can it be mounted on any ceiling?

It mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. Sloped ceiling installation is available on request — contact our team before ordering to discuss the angle and suspension requirements.

Does it include all mounting necessities?

Yes — all hardware for ceiling mounting and the adjustable 1 m drop cord are included in the box. Bulbs are included. A certified electrician is recommended for the hardwired connection.
