Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What materials is this chandelier made from?

The frame is solid brass — available in brass, black, and nickel finishes. Each shade is a precision-cut K9 crystal globe, chosen for the quality of its light refraction.

What type of light bulbs does it use?

Replaceable G9 LED bulbs, included with the fixture. Standard G9 LEDs are widely available, so replacing them later is straightforward without specialist parts.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Yes, on request — let us know when ordering and we'll configure it for dimming. It's compatible with most standard wall dimmers once set up correctly.

How is the chandelier installed?

Hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box. Given the weight of larger configurations (up to 100 kg for the 30-head), professional installation by a certified electrician is strongly recommended.

Can the hanging height be adjusted?

Yes — the cord adjusts to a maximum drop of 1.2 m. For stairwells or double-height spaces that need a longer drop, contact us before ordering.

Is it compatible with sloped ceilings?

On request — we can configure the canopy for a sloped ceiling. Mention your ceiling pitch when placing the order and we'll ensure the fit is correct.

What voltage does it support?

Wide-range voltage, 90–260V, so it works with standard residential and commercial supplies in most countries without an adapter.

Does it include the bulbs?

Yes — G9 LED bulbs are included with every configuration. They're also user-replaceable, so you won't need to return the fixture if a bulb reaches the end of its life.

The Dronrijp is certified to UL, CE, CCC, EMC, FCC, GS, LVD, PSE, RoHS, SAA, and VDE standards — covering residential use across North America, Europe, and Australia.
