Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What is the shipping timeframe?

The Dorgali ships free worldwide and typically arrives within 15–21 business days. You'll receive tracking once it dispatches from our warehouse.

Is installation hardware included?

Yes — canopy, adjustable cord, and ceiling fixings are all included. Hardwired installation to a junction box requires a certified electrician.

How is it mounted to the ceiling?

The chandelier attaches to a standard ceiling junction box via the canopy. The suspension cord adjusts to up to 1.5 m drop — shorten it for lower rooms, extend for higher ones.

What type of wood is used?

Black walnut or ash — both solid, lacquered for durability. Black walnut has a darker, richer grain; ash is lighter and more neutral. Choose based on your room's colour palette.

Are the lampshades included?

Yes — opal glass shades are included for all configurations (4 or 6 heads). They're pre-installed on the bars, ready to hang.

Is the paint non-toxic?

Yes — the lacquer and finish on both wood and frame components are non-toxic and safe for indoor environments.

How long do the LEDs last?

The included G9 LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours. When they eventually need replacing, any standard G9 LED bulb fits — no specialist parts.

Are there different light modes?

The Dorgali comes in warm, natural, or cool white — specify your preferred colour temperature at checkout. Dimming is available on request.

What voltage is required?

90–260 V — compatible with standard electrical supplies worldwide. No adaptor or transformer required.

Is it energy-saving?

Yes — the Dorgali uses G9 LED technology, drawing just 12 W (4-head) or 18 W (6-head) total. That's a fraction of the equivalent incandescent output.
