Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What materials are used for the armature and shades?

The armature is powder-coated iron in matte black — temperature and fade-resistant. The shades are handblown smoky-grey glass, each one slightly unique in density and tint.

Are the glass shades handblown?

Yes — each shade is individually handblown, so the smoke tone and thickness vary subtly from piece to piece. The variation is part of what makes the finished chandelier interesting to live with.

How do I adjust the height of the fixture?

The cord is adjustable to 1.2 m — your electrician can set the drop during installation to suit the ceiling height. For very high ceilings, contact us about extended cord options.

Is the paint used non-toxic and durable?

Yes — the powder coat is non-toxic, temperature-resistant, and designed to hold its tone. It won't yellow or flake with normal indoor use and requires only occasional dusting.

How energy-efficient are the LED lights?

The six G9 LEDs run at a combined 30W, producing 3000 lm — efficient for the spread of light this chandelier covers. LEDs are replaceable so the fixture lasts well past the first bulb cycle.

What are the different light modes available?

How long do the LEDs last?

Each LED is rated to 50,000 hours of operating life. At four hours a day of use, that's over 34 years before the first replacement — and they're standard G9 size when the time comes.

Can I mount it on both ceilings and walls?

Ceiling mounting is the standard installation using the included hardware and junction box. Wall mounting with brackets is possible but not recommended for a chandelier of this span — contact us to discuss.

Is the installation hardware included?

Yes — canopy plate, screws, and ceiling hardware are all included. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended given the fixture's weight and hardwired connection.

How do I operate the lighting once installed?

The Bevel wires directly into your ceiling circuit and is controlled by your existing wall switch. Dimming is available on request — let us know at ordering and we'll set it up for dimmer compatibility.
