Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Alcaudete is a hardwired ceiling fixture with a straightforward mount and adjustable cord. The wiring is simple to follow, but for a safe, level fit we recommend a licensed electrician, especially on high ceilings.

What is the estimated lifespan of the LED lights?

The LED bulbs are rated to roughly 25,000–50,000 hours — years of regular use. Because they're replaceable, you can swap them when the time comes rather than replacing the whole chandelier.

Can the brightness levels be customized?

Yes. On the dimmable build, the included remote lets you set brightness from bright to a low, warm glow, so the same fixture can light a dinner or settle into a quiet evening.

Is the color temperature adjustable?

Yes, on the adjustable build. You can choose warm white (3000K) or cool white (6000K), or shift across the full 3000–6000K range by remote to match the room and the time of day.

Does it require a smart home system to operate?

No. It lights and dims with the included remote on its own. The app and smart-home options are extras for added control — for everyday use the remote handles brightness and colour without any setup.

How energy-efficient is the lighting?

Very. The LED bulbs give bright, even light while drawing far less power than older bulbs, so a large chandelier stays efficient to run. Dimming it down lowers the draw further.

What maintenance is required?

Little. Dust the glass globes and iron frame now and then with a soft, dry cloth to keep the light clear. The bulbs are replaceable, so there's nothing else to service over the years.

Yes — the adjustable build includes a remote that controls both dimming and colour temperature, so you can set the light from across the room without a wall switch.

What are the available color options?
