Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

How long does shipping take?

The Baza ships free worldwide, typically arriving within 15–21 business days. A tracking number is sent once your order leaves our warehouse.

Is installation straightforward?

Yes — a ceiling canopy mounts to the junction box and the shade hangs from the cord. The hardwired connection should be made by a certified electrician. All ceiling hardware is included.

What materials are used?

The shade is white fabric, stitched into a cylinder around the bulb socket. The cord and canopy are standard pendant components. The E27 bulb is not included — any standard E27 LED fits.

Is it suitable for high ceilings?

Yes — the 140 cm length and adjustable cord to 1.2 m make it suitable for rooms with higher ceilings. Mount the canopy at ceiling height and adjust the cord to position the shade at the right level.

Does it include a warranty?

Yes — 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, extendable to 2 or 3 years on request. A 14-day return window applies if the Baza isn't right for your space.

Can it be used with dimmable bulbs?

The fitting itself isn't wired for dimming, but any dimmable E27 LED bulb (paired with a compatible wall dimmer) will work. Choose a dimmable E27 LED when you source the bulb separately.

Is the light adjustable?

The cord adjusts to 1.2 m from the ceiling canopy, giving you control over the drop height. The output level depends on the E27 bulb you choose — the fitting doesn't have a built-in dimmer.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Dust the fabric shade with a soft dry cloth or a low-suction vacuum attachment. Avoid water on the fabric — spot-clean the shade gently if needed. The cord and canopy wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Is it available in different finishes?

Currently in white — the neutral tone works across dining rooms, bedrooms, and living spaces regardless of wall colour or furniture palette.

Does it come with installation instructions?

Yes — a printed installation guide is included. The steps cover mounting the ceiling canopy, threading the cord, and attaching the shade. The electrician handles the final wiring to the junction box.
